Briarhoppers: Celebrating 86 Years

Charlotte’s legendary bluegrass band, The Briarhoppers, played together on the radio for the first time in 1934. While they’ve changed band members over the years, they’re still playing today, longer than any other string band. PBS Charlotte is joining with The Briarhoppers to keep their world-record streak alive -- the band performing their 86th Anniversary Concert in our studios.
